History
On June 22, 2005, the 3rd Kanata Group Committee discussed
a group fall camp at Ope (all sections invited) to help build "teamwork
and assist newcomers to understand more about our programs and the
scouting movement".Group Commissioner Penny Cody and Leader
Bruce Tomlinson began the investigation, which led to the first
Camp on September 24, 2005 with Mike Ellwood and Steve Redshaw sharing
the Camp Chief role. The size of the camp has grown each year with
the 2010 opening camp attended by over 250 3rd Kanata youth parents
