Section and Registration Status
The spring registration event is complete, a fall registration event is not yet scheduled and we are in need of Leaders in a number of Sections. See the section further down the page for Registration Process outside of the Registration Events.
| Leader Volunteers needed urgently, your (or a friend/family member) involvement means ability for 5 to 6 youth to participate in the Program. We need one Registered Leader for every five Beavers and one leader for every six Cubs or Scouts to run a section. Leaders do not have to be Parents of registered youth, we have many Leaders and Group Committee Volunteers without children in the Program. You do not need to start with previous experience, training is provided both for Program and Outdoor skills and you would work with Leaders with that training and experience, We need to complete a registration process and police check before registering a leader so we need volunteers in June or July to get this completed. Our Spring Registration Event is over, watch for information on Fall Registration or contact the registrar at scoutsregistrar@yahoo.com. Sections are presently short leaders, if you are interested in volunteering please contact the registrar, training is provided, Senior Leaders in the programs will involve you in planning and resources for both sections and new leaders are available. click on the "FOR VOLUNTEERS"link in the title bar of this page.
To Register outside of the Registration Event time period, you will need to fill
out a Registration Cheque for $160 per youth + Youth
Registration Form per youth + a filled
out Volunteer Commitment &
Bondand a $75 Bond Cheque per family . (total
Paperwork = 2 cheques, 1 Bond Form per family and 1 registration form
per youth. (Families with only a Venturer and Families with a Leader do
not need to provide a bond cheque).
1. Determine what program your youth needs to be enrolled in and the preferred night (See list below).
2. Pick a section and register with at the registration desk.
3. Fill out the Youth
Registration Form and a cheque ( $160 per youth for Spring Registration)
to 3rd Kanata Scouts Canada. Click here for Adult form for Leaders
4. Fill out the Volunteer
Commitment & Bond. The Volunteer Commitment & Bond
Cheque of $75 per family (regardless of the number of youth in the program),
dated for April 1st 2013 . The $75 cheque will be destroyed on completion
of volunteer activity or cashed at year end if you do not meet your Volunteer
Commitment. We are 100% Community volunteer run (no paid staff), so your
assistance is necessary to provide a good program to the youth. Bond cheques
